Irena Salina’s award winning documentary, FLOW – For Love of Water, is a provocative analysis of what is surely to be one of the most important issues of the 21st century; universal access to clean water. Examining the effects of unsustainable industrial practices and inadequate regulations on communities around the world, the film addresses the interconnectedness of politics, industry, and globalization and their impact on the environment and basic human rights.
Drexel Engineers Without Borders, Drexel Green, and Drexel Sierra Club are proud to co-host this timely documentary as it meshes their organizations’ missions of assisting underdeveloped communities in engineering appropriate and sustainable solutions which provide basic necessities, modifying our lifestyles to internalize environmental and social costs by making changes on campus to minimize our collective footprint, and appropriately valuing and protecting the natural world that still remains.
Please join us on Monday, February 16 at 6:30 pm in the Mitchell auditorium in Bossone for the film screening, a brief discussion and hors d’oeuvres.
